Home Sweet Home

This weekend we head to our test track at Winton. It’s great to race at Winton because I’ve been racing there all my life. In fact, it’s pretty close to home so it kinda feels like my home track too.

This will be the first time we’ve raced the FG-X Falcons at Winton, so they’re a bit of an unknown quantity. The last round at Perth showed that #55 can be quick, and our team results were reasonable, although our strategy on Sunday didn’t go to plan.

This weekend will be extra special because my mate Dean Canto will be joining me for a few laps. During the week I was pleased to confirm that Dino will be my co-driver once again at the enduros. Dino is easily one of the best drivers that doesn’t currently drive full time…so we have another good tilt at Bathurst.

V8 Supercars decided to keep the sprint format for this round, although it’s under review. Either way I expect fierce racing this weekend as some of the drivers who sit outside the top ten will be very aggressive in keeping up with the pack. Personally I’m sitting in 9th position in the Championship. I’ve got work to do however, as I fell back one spot in the championship last round, despite reasonable form.

See you there!
