Well the crew has done an incredible job turning the cars around in just 4 days from Tassie to Phillip Island, it was a mega effort and I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work.
Looking ahead to Phillip Island, I can’t wait to get to this track! It is certainly one of my favourites! Last year I had a great run there and obviously came away with a podium in P2, which was pretty cool!
This weekend’s track schedule will see two 200km races, again with a knock out qualifying system. Phillip Island is a very fast flowing and open track with plenty of passing opportunities and is very smooth and well looked after, so it’s always a pleasure to race on! Along with that, it also provides picturesque views which is something very unique to a race track!
At Phillip Island for the first time in many years, Supercars will be closing pit lane in Safety Car periods, which is good for safety but can potentially also create a different result, so it’ll be interesting to see how this pans out!
We hit the track for the first practice session on Friday 12th April at 11:35am.
Hope to see you there!
