It’s been a nice couple of weeks break since Phillip Island and now the cars are prepped and ready to take on the Perth SuperNight round, which I’m really looking forward to!
The crew and Penrite Oil have done a mega job and have come up with a cool special night-look for the car, including revamped graphics and LED lighting; which I can’t wait to see under lights!
Last year was a successful weekend for us in Perth and was my best weekend there to date. I claimed second and had a pretty good round, considering I normally consider it as one of my ‘bogey’ tracks.
This weekend will be a little different however, with a new surface and new racing conditions, but we have a good set up for high grip tracks so hopefully we can roll out strong and have a successful weekend.
I will also be celebrating my 300th race start this Saturday, which is pretty exciting and a pretty cool milestone, it’s certainly snuck up super quick! I’ve spent a third of those race starts with Erebus and so I’m hoping we can top it off nicely with a podium finish!
Our car will go under lights for the first practice session Thursday 2nd May at 8:40pm (AEST), or 6:40pm local time. View the full schedule here; https://www.supercars.com/2019-pirtek-perth-supernight-schedule-results/
